Janmabhumi is a story written by the editor of Class 10 Nepali book developed by Janak publication under the Curriculum Development Centre of Nepal. It is a story adapted from the great old epic Ramayan written by Balmiki.
Janmabhumi focuses on the love of Ram towards his motherland including the incidents that happened in Ramayan. Rawan captures Sita Mata in response to which Ram attacks Rawan Rajya Lanka and gets the victory with the support of Rawan's younger brother Bhibisan who was neglected by his brother Rawan. There was also great support of Ram’s brother Laxman in the war which led him to victory. This proves if the ties between the two brothers are not strong then others can easily get victory.
Also, Ram was requested to control Lanka but he refused because of his love for his motherland. He even said “Mother and motherland are greater than heaven” refusing to rule in golden Lanka. We can even learn that anger is our own enemy. Rawan’s anger led him to death despite of his great power. These are the things we can learn from the Janmabhumi.
